5 Bollywood classics that ignite patriotism ahead of Independence Day

15th August is near and on this occasion some such patriotic films of Bollywood come to mind, after watching which patriotism starts running in the veins. These films not only have great stories, but the strong acting of the hero defeats the villain.

1. Nayak (2001)

In this film of Anil Kapoor and Amrish Puri, the character of journalist Shivaji Rao, who becomes the Chief Minister for a day, is still remembered. By accepting the CM Challenge, he dismisses the corrupt officials and puts the scammers behind bars, even sends the real CM (Amrish Puri) to jail.

2. Krantiveer (1994)

“Aao dekho tamasha meri maut ka” – This dialogue of Nana Patekar is still in the minds of people. In this film directed by Mehul Kumar, Nana Patekar’s passionate acting and powerful dialogues will thrill you. Dimple Kapadia was also seen in the lead role in this.

3. Indian (2001

In this film starring Sunny Deol and Shilpa Shetty, Sunny played the role of ACP Rajasekhar. He kills his own father-in-law for his country. His wife leaves him, but he continues to fight to eradicate terrorism and finally kills the country’s biggest enemy Wasim Khan.

4. Border (1997

Directed by JP Dutta, this film is based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Many stars including Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Jackie Shroff acted in it. It shows the true story of 120 Indian soldiers fighting a Pakistani regiment all night on the border of Rajasthan.

5. Kranti (1981

Directed by Manoj Kumar, this film is based on the struggle for independence. It shows how the British captured the princely states and oppressed the countrymen. Veterans like Manoj Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Shashi Kapoor appeared in it. It earned 10 crores in that era.
