Famous Bollywood and South film actor Rana Daggubati appeared for questioning at the Hyderabad Zonal ED office in the illegal betting app case. Rana reached the ED office with his bodyguard, where the media tried to cover him, but his bodyguard asked the cameras to stay away.

Last month, the ED had summoned four South stars Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati and Lakshmi Manchu - in this case. The ED had called all of them for questioning on different dates. Prakash Raj and Vijay Deverakonda have already appeared before the ED. Recently Vijay Deverakonda had said that gaming apps are completely legal and recognized by the government.

According to the ED, these artists are accused of promoting such online betting apps through which money was raised illegally. According to sources, crores of rupees of illegal earnings were made from these betting and gambling platforms. However, these celebrities say that they were not fully aware of the product of betting apps and how it works. Also, they also claimed that they are not involved in any illegal activity of this platform.

ED's investigation is going on in this matter and it is believed that more big names may be questioned in the future. At present, the investigating agency will take further action based on Rana Daggubati's statement and other evidence.
