Released yesterday, 'Son of Sardar 2' has created a festive atmosphere for Ajay Devgn fans. The sequel of the 2012 super hit film has a surprise in the climax which has sent the fans into a frenzy - the official announcement of 'Golmaal 5'.

It is blockbuster action director Rohit Shetty who does the honours. A dear friend of Ajay Devgn and the director of most of the superstar’s action and comedy dramas, Rohit appears much to the audience’s surprise and delight at the end of ‘Son of Sardar 2’. In the scene, Ajay Devgn asks him what he is doing these days, and Rohit replies - "I am preparing for Golmaal 5." This dialogue was the hint for fans that the next installment of the riotous and popular 'Golmaal' franchise that began in 2006 is coming soon.

Rohit is currently busy shooting for Rakesh Maria's biopic with John Abraham in Mumbai, which will be completed next month. He will then start work on ‘Golmaal 5’ in early 2026 and the film will go on the floors by February/March. 'Golmaal 5' will feature Ajay Devgn along with actors like Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade and Johnny Lever. It is one of Bollywood's most successful comic franchises.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, 'Son of Sardar 2' features many actors including Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Pandey, Kubra Sait and Mukul Dev in strong roles. It is produced by Jio Studios and Devgn Films and is running in cinemas to packed audiences.
