Anant Ambani Embarks on 140-Km Spiritual Journey Ahead of 30th Birthday; Vantara Receives Top Animal Welfare Award

Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries and the youngest son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has embarked on a 140-kilometre padyatra (spiritual walk) from Jamnagar to the holy city of Dwarka. According to ANI, this journey began last week and marks a deeply personal and spiritual celebration leading up to his 30th birthday on April 10.

Known for his unwavering devotion to Lord Krishna, Anant chose to undertake this pilgrimage on foot as an act of faith and gratitude. Dwarka, believed to be the ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna, holds significant religious importance for him. “Before starting any task, I always remember Lord Dwarkadhish, and the work completes without obstacles,” he told reporters during the journey. The padyatra began from his residence in Moti Khavdi, Jamnagar. Walking approximately 10–12 km each night, Anant is accompanied by Z-level security and local police support. As of April 1, the journey had entered its fifth day, with an estimated two to four days remaining before he reaches the Dwarkadhish Temple for prayers and offerings on his birthday.

While speaking to the media, Anant also shared a message for the youth of India: “Have faith in Lord Dwarkadhish and remember Him before starting anything. Your work will be completed without any hindrance. When God is with you, there's nothing to worry about.” Aside from his spiritual pursuits, Anant Ambani has also been recognized for his commitment to animal welfare. His flagship initiative, Vantara, recently received the prestigious Prani Mitra National Award under the ‘Corporate’ category—India’s highest honour in animal welfare, conferred by the Government of India.

The award specifically acknowledges the contributions of the Radhe Krishna Temple Elephant Welfare Trust (RKTEWT), an organisation under Vantara, dedicated to rescuing, treating, and ensuring lifelong care of elephants. Vantara, launched by Anant, focuses on the rehabilitation and conservation of animals, offering a safe and sustainable haven for their well-being. As Anant Ambani continues his journey on foot toward Dwarka, the confluence of his spiritual devotion and his passionate work in wildlife welfare offers a rare and inspiring example of purpose, legacy, and service.
