Rajkummar Rao surrenders in 8-year-old case, granted bail, Next hearing on July 30

Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao is in the news again due to an old legal dispute. The actor surrendered in Jalandhar Court of Punjab on July 28, which was related to a case related to the 2017 film 'Behen Hogi Teri'. According to media reports, he has got bail from the court and now the next hearing of this case will be on July 30.

The matter is about a scene and poster of the film, in which Rajkummar Rao was seen sitting on a bike as Lord Shiva. Objecting to this scene, a local Shiv Sena leader had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that religious sentiments were hurt. After this, a case was registered against the actor, film director Nitin Kakkar, producer Amul Vikas Mohle and actress Shruti Haasan.

Rajkumar Rao was first summoned, but when he did not appear, the court issued a non-bailable warrant against him. However, before this he had taken anticipatory bail. Now after surrendering in court, he has been granted conditional bail. No official statement has come from Rajkumar Rao or his team on this whole matter yet.

Talking about Rajkumar Rao's personal life, he is going to become a father soon. His wife Patralekha is pregnant. Recently he was seen visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar and taking blessings. On the film front, he will soon be seen in 'Toaster'. This year his films 'Bhool Chook Maaf' and 'Maalik' have been released.
