Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly and director Abrid Shine are embroiled in a legal dispute. A man from Thalayolaparambu area of Kerala has filed a police complaint accusing both of them of financial fraud. An investigation has started in this matter.
This complaint has been filed by a person named PS Shamnas, who was the co-producer of Nivin Pauly's 2022 film 'Maha Veeryar'. In the complaint, Shamnas has said that after the film failed at the box office, Nivin Pauly assured him of Rs 95 lakh. Along with this, he promised that he would be made a producer partner in director Abrid Shine's next film 'Action Hero Biju 2'.
On this trust, Shamnas spent about Rs 1.90 crore for the shooting of the film. He claims that the film was registered in the name of his company 'Indian Movie Makers'. But later Nivin Pauly and Abrid Shine made a deal of Rs 5 crore with a Dubai company, in which the film was presented as Nivin's own production company.
Shamnas alleges that both of them cheated him of this amount by hiding facts and lying. It is also said in the complaint that many information related to the film was hidden from him and he was cheated. A case has been registered in this entire matter under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
At present, there has been no response from Nivin Pauly and Abrid Shine on these allegations. The matter is getting serious and the police have started an investigation. This controversy has become a topic of discussion in the film industry.
