Actor Ram Kapoor has come under controversy before the release of the web series Mystery. It is reported that Jio Hotstar has removed him from the promotion of the series. It is being told that Ram Kapoor behaved indecently with the team and also made objectionable comments during media interaction. It is alleged that he also made objectionable and sexual remarks on the members of the Jio Hotstar team, after which it was decided that now only actress Mona Kapoor will be a part of the promotion of the series. Mystery is going to release on 27 June 2025.

According to a Mid Day report, Ram Kapoor was present at the JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai along with Mona Kapoor and the team of Jio Hotstar during a promotional meeting. During the same time, Ram made some jokes which contained sexual remarks and which made many members of the team uncomfortable. According to a source, interviews were going on continuously that day. During this, Ram Kapoor said about the pressure of work that it feels like gang rape is happening. He said this when a female journalist was setting up his mic.

The same evening, Ram Kapoor also commented on the dress of a female member of the PR team. He said that the clothes were distracting. Another employee told that Ram Kapoor jokingly told a male colleague that your mother should have made an excuse of headache so that you would not have been born. Along with this, he also mentioned sexual postures.

After these incidents, the next morning when the senior officials of the OTT platform spoke to the HR team, it was decided that Ram Kapoor would be completely removed from promotional activities. The platform said that dignity is most important at the workplace and due to this, now only Mona Kapoor will do promotional interviews.
