Famous singer and musician Adnan Sami has been a constant target of Pakistanis ever since he became an Indian citizen. Pakistani users often target him and taunt him on social media. Now Adnan Sami has broken his silence on this criticism and has given a candid response.
While talking to Bollywood Bubble, Adnan Sami said, “This reaction seems to be more related to emotions than criticism. It is like an ex-boyfriend can't see you moving forward.” He said that people form an opinion on my decision without fully understanding it. “People do not know my circumstances due to which I took Indian citizenship. No one has the right to decide the reason behind my decision on their own.”
Adnan Sami also said that people all over the world go from one country to another, but when he did it, it was made into a controversy. He also revealed that despite his 40-year musical career in Pakistan, he never received any honor or award from the government there.
"My anger was with the Pakistani government, not with the Pakistani people. People have always given me a lot of love and I have a special place for them in my heart." Finally, he said that his music is for everyone, it is not restricted by any country or border. "If anyone wants to connect with my music, I welcome it. Everything will be fine with time.”
