During an interview, while talking to Instant Bollywood, Sooraj Pancholi said, "Earlier Salman Sir's house was always open. There was a lock on the door, but it was never used. If you are hungry, you can take out food from his fridge, you can even take protein shakes or vitamins, no one used to refuse." He further said, "Many times it used to happen that there would be a guest in his house early in the morning and Salman sir would just say, 'Hey you are here?' on seeing them, then he would ask them to eat and he himself would quietly get busy with his work. His house is very small, but his heart is very big."

Referring to Salman's generosity, Sooraj said, "Whenever lunch or dinner comes from his house, it is not just for him, but for the entire unit. Very few people know that the food that comes from his house is for everyone - you just come, pick up the plate and eat."
