Directed by famous director Muzaffar Ali, this film will be released in 4K restored version in selected theaters across the country on June 27. This means that this time the audience will be able to experience the fun in Rekha's eyes, Farooq Sheikh's simplicity and pure Lucknowi style in an even more spectacular print.

To mark the re-release of the film, director Muzaffar Ali is also launching a limited edition coffee table book. The book contains unseen photographs from the sets of the film, costume sketches, poems and some special anecdotes from the shooting. The book is specially designed for cinema lovers, film students and those interested in cultural heritage and will be released before the release of the film.

‘Umrao Jaan’ is not just a film, but a feeling that took Indian cinema to new heights. Rekha also won the National Award for Best Actress for this film. The songs from the film “In Aankhon Ki Masti”, “Dil Cheez Kya Hai” and “Yeh Kya Jagah Hai Doston” are still part of people’s playlists.
