With its trailer offering a glimpse into a world filled with love, laughter, and happiness, Sitaare Zameen Par has indeed become one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. A spiritual sequel to the 2007 superhit Taare Zameen Par, the film is set to arrive as a heartwarming family entertainer. Amidst the rising excitement, the makers have released the melodious song Sar Aankhon Pe Mere, which turned out to be a Cinderella moment for a girl, Shariva Parulkar, who was Aamir Khan's marketing intern and gets to sing opposite Arijit Singh as a female playback singer.

As melodious as the song Sar Aankhon Pe Mere sounds, it turned out to be a Cinderella moment for Aamir Khan's marketing intern. Usually, a song is first recorded by a dummy singer before its final version is recorded by the main singer. While the team of Sitaare Zameen Par was in Chennai, they did a scratch recording of Sar Aankhon Pe Mere with Shariva Parulkar, who was then an intern with Aamir Khan, as no other singer was available at the time.

While her voice was initially meant only for the scratch version, Aamir Khan and director R. S. Prasanna were so moved by her rendition that they decided to retain her vocals for the final version of the song. A girl who had singing as a hobby, become a playback singer with such an amazing debut. Remarkably, this marks a dream come true moment for Shariva, as Sar Aankhon Pe Mere becomes her debut song and that too, alongside none other than Arijit Singh. Aamir Khan gave a break to his intern who was interning with him during Laal Singh Chaddha and the preparations of Sitaare Zameen Par. It indeed marked special beginning for a promising new voice.

Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles along with the 10 rising stars. The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The screenplay is written By Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with B. Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka as producers. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film will be released in theatres only on 20th June, 2025.
