The troubles of actor Dino Morea, who is embroiled in the Mithi River scam in Mumbai, do not seem to be decreasing. The investigation of the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) is progressing rapidly in this case and now once again Dino Morea has been called for questioning. Earlier also, yesterday he was questioned by EOW officials for about seven hours. When the media tried to talk to Dino Morea during the latest interrogation, he refrained from making any comment and quietly left from there.

Many shocking revelations have been made so far in this investigation of EOW. According to sources, there have been several conversations between Dino Morea, his brother and the main accused of this scam, Ketan Kadam. The recordings and data of these calls are now on the radar of the investigating agencies. It is believed that the analysis of these conversations can reveal the layers of this scam worth crores of rupees.

This whole matter is related to the purchase and sale of machines used for cleaning the Mithi River—such as sludge pusher and dredging machine. It is alleged that the Storm Water Drains Department of Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) rented these machines from Kochi-based company Matprop Technical Services Private Limited at exorbitant prices. In this process, huge financial irregularities were done and a scam of crores of rupees came to light.

The main accused in this scam are Ketan Kadam and Jai Joshi, who are accused of committing this economic crime in connivance with the officials of Matprop company and some employees of BMC. Now after the name of Dino Morea and his brother got linked to this case, the seriousness of the matter has increased even more. Investigative agencies believe that more big revelations can be made in the coming days and other names involved in this scam can also come to the fore. At present, EOW is investigating this whole matter in depth and all possible links are being investigated.
