Abhay Verma, Sharvari's Munjya clears Monday test, crosses 20-crore mark at the box office

Content is the king, and Munjya has reiterated this. The horror-comedy belonging to Dinesh Vijan's universe has appealed to a wider audience with an engaging story and strong word of mouth. It is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and stars Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, Sharvari, and an ensemble cast. After taking a pathbreaking start at the box office, Munjya is continuing its successful streak.

Munjya has passed the crucial Monday test. The horror comedy has minted Rs. 4.11 on its 4th day in theatres. In fact, it has shown an upward growth from its first-day collection which also included the profit from special previews that were held on Thursday night.

Sharvari, who delivered her first hit with Munjya, said in a statement, "I’m a proud Maharashtrian so to see this unanimous love & appreciation for a film that is rooted in Maharashtrian folklore is a very nice feeling. To see Maharashtrian folklore being celebrated on a national level and becoming a hit film makes me very happy."

She added, "Munjya is off to a flyer at the box office and I have to admit that I’m over the moon right now. To have a big success under my belt is, of course, a huge confidence booster for me. My social media is flooded with love from across the country. That too is a huge validation for my work."
