It’s been a grand win for Indian at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Whereas Anasuya Sengupta, became the first Indian actress to win in the ‘Best Actress’ category, Payal Kapadia’s directorial ‘All We Imagine As Light,’ secured the Grand Prix. 

Mentioning about both, Priyanka Chopra took to her social media handle and shared the congratulatory wishes for both the wins.

Sharing Instagram story, the actress wrote,  @cup_o_t on your incredible performance and the history you've created!
Onwards and upwards.” As she congratulated Anasuya. 

Following, the actress shared another story for Payal’s win.

She wrote, "It's a moment for Indian cinema at
@festivaldecannes. Billig shout and congratulations to you all."

Priyanka also lauded Chidananda S Naik, for winning La Cinéf Award for Best Short.

Cannes Film Festival commenced on May 14 and shut the curtains on May 25.
