Imran Khan talks about his dissatisfaction over a film, fans believe it’s Animal: It makes me uncomfortable

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial 'Animal,' which released last year has been a massive venture and became one of the biggest films of 2023.

Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri in the lead, the film however received mixed reviews from the audience despite its success.

Now, Imran Khan spoke about the film in an  indirect manner. He said, “I have a sense about where cinema is these days. There is a glamourization and a fetishization and sexualisation of violence that makes me uncomfortable. There is a way to portray violence. This is not a morality thing.”

He further added, “Violence and action are… it is a language in cinema but when we communicate it, when we portray it in films, there is a way to do it where you feel the weight of it."

Despite him not taking the name of the film, fans strongly believe he  meant ‘Animal.’

Sandeep's work however has always been a subject to debates and so his statements. Recently, Adil Hussain who worked in his film 'Kabir Singh' spoke about regretting signing the film because of its nature.

He further admitted that he walked out of the theatre without even completing the entire film and didn't like its nature at all.
