According to reports, gunshots were heard outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, early this morning. A report issued by NDTV claimed that an unidentified man on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds in the air at around 5 am and fled from the scene.
After the incident was reported, the Mumbai Police sprung to action and launched a probe into the firing. At present, they're tracking down the unidentified person who fired the shots and sped away. An official report from the cops is awaited.
Salman has been on jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's hitlist for the longest time. The gangster is also the prime accused in Sidhu Moose Wala's assassination. The cause behind the rivalry is the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. In 2023, Salman's security was beefed up after receiving multiple death threats from Bishnoi and his henchmen. The Mumbai Police upgraded the superstar's protection to Y+ level.
