Just few days are left until the release of the much -awaited sports drama biopic Maidaan which will star Ajay Devgn in the role of the football legend Syed Abdul Rahim.
Ahead of it, the producer Boney Kapoor recently praised Syed and called him a ‘superhero.’
He said, “Rahim Saab was a superman. He single handedly created the entire team. He was such a nationalist, he wanted to win gold for our India and eventually he did despite of so many handicaps.”
He further added about the upcoming film, “And this film will change the way people perceive Indian football for sure. “
Directed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan is set to release on April 10.
It also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao alongside Ajay.
