The latest installment of her podcast, take 20, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares the challenges faced during the filming of Citadel: Honey Bunny.
The most recent episode of her health podcast, take 20, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu discussed the challenges she encountered while filming for Citadel: Honey Bunny. Engaging with her co-host and wellness coach, Alkesh Sharotri, she shared insights into the demanding nature of shooting for the Indian web series.

In conversation with Alkesh, Samantha remarked on the challenges of filming Citadel amidst her myositis diagnosis. She explained, "Juggling between Kushi and Citadel was demanding, especially given Citadel's intense physical demands with its action sequences. It was incredibly strenuous." She further disclosed that during the shoot, she experienced spasms and, at times, even passed out, necessitating her co-host Alkesh's assistance. "Numerous calls were placed to you, Alkesh, while on set - for instances like spasms and cramping. I even suffered a concussion," she elaborated.

Citadel: Honey Bunny serves as the Indian adaptation of the American web series Citadel, helmed by creators Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil, with the Russo Brothers serving as executive producers. Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden headlined the 2023 spy action thriller series.

The Indian rendition, crafted, scripted, and directed by Raj & DK alongside Sita R Menon, adopts the title Citadel: Honey Bunny and features Samantha and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles. Joining them are Sikandar Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Emma Canning in a series slated for release this year.
Following her myositis diagnosis in 2022, Samantha took a hiatus from work to focus on recuperation. Recently, she resumed her professional endeavors, hosting the podcast Take 20 and actively promoting Citadel: Honey Bunny. While Samantha has not disclosed her future projects, it's worth noting that Shruti Haasan has replaced her in Philip John’s Chennai Story.
