Ravi Dubey Set to Portray Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari's Grand Ramayan Epic: Reports

After the underwhelming reception of Om Raut's Adipurush last year, audiences are in for another cinematic retelling of the Ramayana. Renowned filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, celebrated for Dangal, is reportedly directing with Ranbir Kapoor rumored to portray Lord Ram. While the cast remains officially undisclosed, speculation suggests Kannada actor Yash and south actress Sai Pallavi are set for Ravana and Sita respectively. Latest reports hint at TV actor Ravi Dubey being considered for the pivotal role of Lakshman. Confirmation is awaited. Dubey, a prominent figure in television, has established himself as both an actor and producer.

Beginning his career as a model, he transitioned to acting in 2006. He debuted with the parallel lead role of Ravi Agarwal in DD National's Stree… Teri Kahaani, produced by Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. Following this, he portrayed Veer in Sahara One's Doli Saja Ke and later secured the male lead in Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar as Ravi. Dubey has featured in around 40 TV commercials for brands like Reliance, TVS Victor, and Nestle, among others. He also participated in the eighth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Regarding Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, reports remain unconfirmed. It was rumored that Sunny Deol might portray Lord Hanuman. An official announcement about the movie is anticipated on Ram Navami, April 17th.
