Emraan Hashmi and Karan Johar’s Showtime is the perfect watch to explore the dark side of Bollywood

Disney+ Hotstar’s much- awaited series Showtime has finally released and is already making to the headlines. 

Now just having a stellar star cast comprising of Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana
with Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Raaz and Naseeruddin
Shah.

But the theme of the series is something that has garnered the attention.
 

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production’s the series exposes the darker side of Bollywood and focuses upon not so colourful aspects of the industry. 

Bollywood has always been a topic of discussion and remains to be. But besides being one of the most loved place of the cinema lovers of all over the world. Some not so pleasant instances have always appeared across which has often made audience question on what all goes behind the silver screen.

Showtime perfectly shows all the nuances that take place behind the curtains. From indecent offers to the real struggles, competition and monopoly of the bigger individuals of the industry. 

If one has ever wondered what all takes place and wanted to have a better explanation for the same, Showtime is the perfect choice. Not just created around the much- talked topic but having been made by the top people of the industry it just adds on to the curiosity. 


Directed by Mihir Desai, it is created by Sumit Roy. The screenplay has been made by Sumit Roy, Mithun Gangopadhyay and Lara Chandni and the dialogues have been penned down by by Jehan Handa and Karan Shrikant Sharma.

The series is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
