Farhan Akhtar has revived his popular franchise, Don, after a long break. However, the third installment will be made with a new cast. In August 2023, the makers announced Ranveer Singh as the successor of Shah Rukh Khan in the crime thriller. Now, the female lead has been confirmed.
Kiara Advani will be headlining Don 3 with Ranveer. The actress' character is kept under wraps. The announcement was made digitally today. Sharing the news of joining the Don franchise, the production house wrote, "Welcome to the Don universe @kiaraaliaadvani #Don3 (sic)."
According to reports, Kiara might be seen as a negative character in Don 3. Her role will have a fresh makeover and will have no adaptation from the character of Roma, essayed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the previous Don franchises.
Don 3 is expected to go on floors in mid-2024. The release date is yet to be announced.
