Vipul Amrutlal Shah's The Kerala Story broke box office records in 2023. Now, after almost a year-long wait, it has released on ZEE5. The film starred Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani. The trio of The Kerala Story- Vipul, Adah and director Sudipto Sen reunited for yet another socio-political drama titled Bastar: The Naxal Story.
Interestingly, the teaser of Bastar: The Naxal Story has been attached to the digital prints of The Kerala Story. The film is based on alleged true stories of Hindu girls from Kerala who were forced to convert to Islam. At the domestic box office, it grossed Rs. 288.04 crores whereas the worldwide gross collection of Rs. 303.97 crores.
The Kerala Story and Bastar: The Naxal Story are produced by Vipul Shah's Sunshine Pictures, co-produced by Aashin A Shah and directed by Sudipto Sen.
