Sushant Singh Rajput's Dil Bechara to get a sequel? Director Mukesh Chhabra hints

Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi's Dil Bechara broke records on Disney+ Hotstar in 2020. It was the actor's last film which released a month after his untimely demise. The Mukesh Chhabra directorial was a remake of the Hollywood film, The Fault In Our Stars.

Now, almost three years after Dil Bechara's release, there's a buzz around its sequel. Mukesh, who turned director with the film, dropped in a cryptic tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter). Hinting at the sequel, the casting director wrote, "Dil Bechara 2."

In an interview with The Lallantop, Mukesh remembered Sushant and said, "It was during the pandemic. If I knew what he was going through, I would’ve gone and spoken to him. We used to meet very often. From his first film to his last one, our relationship remained strong. He would get affected very easily. He would get upset with people very easily. He would get very upset if he read a negative article about himself. He was an oversensitive person, we all are."

Sushant passed away on June 14, 2020, due to suicide. Dil Bechara marked Sanjana's debut.
