Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan married her longtime beau Nupur Shikhare on Wednesday. It was a registered marriage and the couple will be tying the knot in a grander ceremony next week in Udaipur. A pre-wedding reception was held in Mumbai at Taj Lands End in the evening for family members and close friends.
Pictures and videos from the ceremony went viral on social media. What caught the public's attention was Nupur's athleisure outfit for the registered marriage. He was dressed in a black vest and grey shorts. Nupur had worn the same outfit for an 8-kilometre run on the streets of Mumbai ahead of the ceremony.
After the registered marriage, Ira addressed the guests and cleared the air around his vest-shorts look. She looked at him and said on the mic, "He (Nupur) is going to go shower... goodbye."
While Nupur was dressed casually, Ira was decked up in a pastel pink and teal-coloured outfit.
Ira and Nupur's wedding ceremony will be held at Taj Aravalli in Udaipur.
