Rajkumar Hirani reacts to box office clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar: Business is affected

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar, both films have been doing well at the box office. Whereas Dunki had its worldwide release on December 21, Salaar was released on the next day, December 22.

Recently, Dunki’s director Rajkumar Hirani went on to talk about the box office clash of the films also admitting that both the films have a positive impact on the film industry but at the same time the business gets affected due to clash.

He said, “So, I am sure at some level it affects both the films. In a clash, business is affected.”

Further, he stated that not everyone has a budget to watch films on the consecutive days, thus people opt for one film at a time to watch at the theatres.

At last, Rajkumar concluded that the clashes will continue to happen and there is no escape from them, “There would be clashes. Sometimes bigger films would clash and sometimes smaller ones. All these kinds of things will continue happening. There is no escape from that.”

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki also features Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and Anil Grover. On the other hand, Salaar has been directed by Prashanth Neel.
