I am very ashamed: Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq issues a public apology after his comment on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Abdul Razzaq, a Pakistani cricketer recently found himself facing backlash after he made a controversial statement during one of the recent press conference. Apparently he was explaining about the cricket team’s performance and strategies during which he made an insensitive comment on Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Post his comment, netizens got outraged and went on to point out that his words were unacceptable. Following the same, the cricketer took to his Twitter handle as he publicly apologized for his words and mentioned that he had no such intentions and is ashamed for what has happened.

Sharing the video he captioned it, “ I am very ashamed of yesterday and I realize I said very bad words. I apologize to everyone, please forgive me.”

This was in the response to his comment that he said during the discussioin the clip of which was widely shared. He said, “If your thinking is that you marry Aishwarya Rai and expect a pious and virtuous child to be born, then that can never happen.”

After which he received massive backlash.
