Avoided my mother's films in childhood, loved watching Pooja Bhatt's romantic films: Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt has been the talk of the town this year.  With the stupendous success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and being the recipient of the National Award for being the Best Actress for her film Gangubai Kathiawadi, her Hollywood debut with 'Heart of Stone' and co-producing her next 'Jigra' with Dharma Productions; 2023 has been on a roll.

In a recent interview with an international magazine, the actress went on to reveal that she would avoid watching her mother Sonia Razdan's films in childhood. Alia shared, “Honestly, I was very sensitive as a child and I took the films too seriously. I didn’t want to see my mother being pushed out of a window or see her suffering. That wasn’t something I wanted to engage with.”

Alia further shared that she would, however, engage with elder sister Pooja Bhatt’s romantic films and watch them again and again. "The cutesy romantic stuff I could handle," stated Alia.

Talking about becoming an actor herself, she said, “I liked what I saw coming from the television box—the people dancing around and making faces at each other. I thought it might be nice to be inside that box one day.”
