Michael Gambon is no more! Harry Potter’s Dumbledore actor dies, aged 82

Michael Gambon has been famous for his evergreen role of professor Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter film series. As per the reports, the British-Irish actor passed away on Thursday, September 28 at the hospital, aged 82.

His wife and son said their ‘beloved husband and father’ died peacefully with his family by his side after suffering from pneumonia.

The actor began his acting career back in 1960’s, starting from the stage and later on moving into films and television. . The actor is also well known for his roles in films like Gosford Park (2001), The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989) and Layer Cake (2004)   to name a few. In his acting career which spanned over the six decades, he has been a recipient of three Olivier Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four BAFTA Awards
