Sushmita Sen will be playing the role of a transgender in activist Gauri Sawant's biopic titled Taali. The web series is scheduled to release on JioCinema this year. On the last day of Pride Month yesterday, the makers dropped the first motion poster.
In the motion poster, Sushmita said, "Main Taali bajaati nahi bajwati hoon." Sharing the poster, the caption on JioCinema's Instagram page read, "Laakh gira de bijli mujhpe, mai toh satrang banu. #HappyPride Featuring @sushmitasen47 as the remarkable @shreegaurisawant in #TaaliOnJioCinema. Coming soon."
Taali is directed by Ravi Jadhav and produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik D Nishandar.
