Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma files police complaint after her diamond earrings get stolen, house help arrested

Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police after her diamond earrings were stolen from her house. As per reports, the police have arrested her house help, identified as Sandip Hegde.

Sandip, reportedly a resident of Ambewadi slums in Vile Parle East, worked as a domestic staff at Arpita’s house in Khar. The actor’s sister had stated in her complaint that her diamond earrings worth Rs 5 lakh were kept in the make-up tray and had gone missing.

A police team was formed under senior inspector Mohan Mane of Khar Police and composed of PI Vinod Gaonkar, PSI Laxman Kakde, PSI Gawli and detection staff. They interrogated 11 people working at Arpita’s house that included Sandip. The accused was working at the household for the past four months only and had run away after stealing without informing anyone. The incident took place on May 16 and the police nabbed the culprit on the same night.

As per media reports the stolen earrings were recovered from Sandip’s house and he has been sent into police custody under section 381 (theft by servant) of IPC. Arpita lives on teh 17th floor of the high rise in Khar with her husband Aayush Sharma and their two children, Ahil and Ayat.
