Anupam Kher paid an emotional tribute to his friend Satish Kaushik at his prayer meet held yesterday. Friends for over 40 years, Anupam and Satish acted in multiple films together. In an emotional post on Instagram, Anupam showered rose petals on Satish's picture. Sharing the video, he added the song Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani from The Great Gambler in the background.
His caption read, "Ja! Tujhe maaf kiya! Mujhe akela chhod kar jaane ke liye! I will surely find you in people’s laughter! But will miss our friendship on a day-to-day basis!! Alvida mere dost! Tera favourite gana lagaya hai background mein! Tu bhi kya yaad karega."
Anupam was the first to share the news of Satish's unfortunate demise on March 9. Sharing a picture with his best friend, the actor wrote, "I know "death is the ultimate truth of this world!" But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!"
At the prayer meet yesterday, Anupam stood by Satish's wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika's side throughout. He was overlooking the arrangements and made sure everything went smoothly. He further requested people to not spread rumours about the veteran actor's demise.
