Madhuri Dixit lost her mother, Mrs. Snehalata Dixit, today (March 12). According to reports, the actress' mother breathed her last in her sleep at the age of 91. Mrs. Dixit is survived by her three daughters Roopa, Bharti and Madhuri and her son Ajit. 

In a statement to the media. Madhuri and her husband Dr. Shriram Nene said, "Our beloved Aai, Snehalata Dikshit, passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her loved ones." Mrs. Dixit will be cremated at the Worli crematorium today at 3 pm.

Madhuri lost her father Shankar Dixit at the age of 91 on September 13, 2013.
