With a heavy heart, Satish Kaushik's family members, colleagues and friends laid him to rest last evening. Celebrities from the film fraternity said an emotional goodbye to the veteran actor and director who passed away at the age of 67. Satish was cremated at Versova Crematorium.
Anupam Kher, who shared a strong and special bond with Satish for 45 years, was at the cremation. He was also looking after the arrangements. As the final journey of the actor started from his residence in Mumbai, Anupam couldn't hold back his tears. Sitting right next to Satish in the ambulance throughout the journey from home to the cremation ground, he was seen wiping off his tears.
Satish, 67, passed away during the wee hours of Thursday. He was visiting a friend in Delhi for Holi when he suffered a heart attack in the car. Around 1 am, he asked the driver to take him to the hospital after complaining of uneasiness. His mortal remains were brought to Mumbai reportedly via air ambulance after the postmortem was conducted in Delhi.
The veteran actor-director is survived by his wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika.
