Neena Gupta paid a tribute to her longtime friend and colleague Satish Kaushik after the news of his untimely demise broke this morning. The 67-year-old actor succumbed to a massive heart attack in Delhi during the wee hours of Thursday. Despite taking him to the hospital, he couldn't survive. Sharing a video, Neena recalled fond memories with Satish and extended her support to his wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika.
She said, "I woke up with a very sad news. There's only one person in the whole world who called me Nancy and I used to call him Kaushikan. Our friendship goes back to our college days, and we've shared a long association, whether we met often or not. He's no more now. It's very scary and sad. His daughter Vanshika and his wife Shashi - it's a very difficult time for them and I'm always there for them if they ever need me. May God give them the strength to deal with this loss, especially, Vanshika."

In her autobiography titled Sach Kahun Toh, Neena wrote about how Satish proposed to get married to her when she was pregnant with Masaba Gupta. According to the autobiography, he told her, “Don’t worry, if the child is born with dark skin, you can just say it’s mine and we’ll get married. Nobody will suspect a thing.”
Satish's funeral expected to take place today in Mumbai.
