Anupam Kher broke the unfortunate news of the demise of his best friend, Satish Kaushik, this morning. The veteran actor-director was 67. The funeral is expected to take place today once the body reaches Mumbai.
Anupam, who lost his best friend to a heart attack, said in a statement to a media agency that Satish passed away on the way to a hospital in Gurgaon. "He felt uneasy and he told driver to take him to the hospital and on the way he suffered a heart attack around 1 am," Anupam told.

Satish's mortal remains will reach his residence in Mumbai after the postmortem. The actor-director is survived by his wife Shashi Kaushik and 11 years old daughter Vanshika Kaushik.
Sharing the news of Satish's demise, Anupam wrote, "I know "death is the ultimate truth of this world!" But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!"
