Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan to release on OTT in April; Delhi High Court directs YRF to add subtitles, audio description for hearing and visually-impaired people by February 20

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham's Pathaan is in news and why not! The superstar is returning to the silver screen after a gap of almost 5 years and fans are thrilled. After clearly several obstacles, the spy thriller will release on January 25 in theatres.

Ahead of Pathaan's release, the Delhi High Court on Monday directed Yash Raj Films (YRF) to add some changes to the film. However, this won't affect its theatrical release. According to reports, the court has asked the makers to add 'subtitles, close captioning and audio description in Hindi' for hearing and visually-impaired people to enjoy Pathaan on OTT platforms in the future.

The Delhi High Court further asked YRF to submit the changes to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) again for re-certification. Reportedly, it has to be submitted by February 20 and the CBFC has been instructed to take a decision by March 10.

Reportedly, Pathaan will stream on Amazon Prime Video from April hence the makers will get time to make necessary changes. The court didn't pass any order with respect to the theatrical release of the spy thriller.

Earlier this month, the CBFC cleared Pathaan with more than 10 cuts. The film was granted a U/A certificate post making the changes.
