Vijay Sethupathi will be sharing the screen space with Shahid Kapoor in Raj & DK's upcoming web show titled Farzi. The trailer was launched in Mumbai on Friday with the entire ensemble cast in attendance. During an interaction with the media at the event, Vijay spoke about working in the Hindi entertainment industry after establishing himself down South.
Garnering applauds from the media, Vijay told, "Whoever I tell that I am doing a Hindi project with Raj and DK, I have to add that it also features Shahid Kapoor. Only then, they say, ‘O wow’! I have to say that I am the villain in Shah Rukh sir’s (movie Jawan) and I am working with Katrina Kaif. Only then, do they respect me! So, it depends on which artist I am working for."
Vijay was roped in to play the role of an army officer in Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha. However, things didn't materialise and the role went to Naga Chaitanya. Farzi is Vijay's first Hindi language project.
Apart from Jawan and Merry Christmas, Vijay will be seen in Santosh Sivan's Mumbaikar.
