A glorious century rests at the feet of God: PM Narendra Modi pays tribute to mother Hiraben as she breathes her last at 100

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, lost his mother, Hiraben Modi, in the wee hours of Friday. She was 100 years old. Hiraben was admitted to Ahmedabad's UN Mehta Hospital when her health deteriorated.

Paying a heartwarming tribute to his mother, PM Modi wrote on Twitter, "A glorious century rests at the feet of God. In Maa I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values. When I met her on her 100th birthday, she said one thing - Always remembered - Work with intelligence, live life with purity."
