Alia Bhatt became a mama today as she welcomed a baby girl with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. The actress was admitted to Mumbai's Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre at 7.30 am. 

Alia gave birth to the newest member of the Kapoor and Bhatt families at the same hospital where Rishi Kapoor breathed his last. Rishi was Ranbir's father and he passed away in 2020 due to leukemia on April 30.

Announcing the birth of their daughter, Alia and Ranbir wrote in a statement, "And in the best news of our lives:-Our baby is here... and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love-blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir (sic)."
