Veteran director Esmayeel Shroff breathes his last at the age of 62

Bollywood lost yet another veteran personality. Director Esmayeel Shroff breathed his last at the age of 62 in Mumbai. According to reports, he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani hospital following an illness.

It was reported that Esmayeel Shroff was admitted almost a month ago after suffering a heart attack. Tweeting about his demise, Ashoke Pandit wrote, "Sad to know about the demise of ace filmmaker Esmayeel Shroff ji at the age of 82 in Mumbai. Had directed many hits including Ahista Ahista, Bulandi, Thodi Si Bewafai, Surya etc. It’s another big loss to the film industry. Heartfelt condolences to his family. Om Shanti (sic)."

As a director, he made films like Ahista Ahista, Zid, Agar, God and Gun, Police Public, Majhdhaar, Dil Akhir Dil Hai, Bulundi, Nishchaiy, Suryaa and Jhuta Sach. His last film was Thoda Tum Badlo, Thoda Hum in 2004.
