It may have sounded better on paper: Ayan Mukerji reacts to negative comments about Brahmastra's dialogues

Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra has been receiving love from different corners of the globe. Headlined by Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy and Alia Bhatt, the magnum opus stunned everyone with spectacular visuals. The only criticism received by the team of Brahmastra is for its dialogues. In an interview with a leading publication, Ayan reacted to negative comments about the film's dialogues.

"I thought this would give the film a soul. That the greatest energy comes from within you and the greatest form of energy is when you are in a state of love. It may have sounded better on paper than it came across to certain people. But, when Kesariya came out, for the first 48 hours all we heard was, ‘Oh God why did they do this with love storiyan.’ But the song continued to be a blockbuster, and nobody talks about it today. So, point noted. But India has a diverse audience," Ayan told the daily.

For the unversed, Kesariya got trolled for the lyrics 'Love Storiya'. Reacting to the meme fest around it, Ayan had told a radio channel, "We put it with a lot of love, we found it very interesting. We did not find it like elaichi, we thought it was a twist like bahut shakkar me thoda namak jab aata hai, uska ek maza, ek swaad hai (it's not like a cardamon in biryani, its like salt amid too much sugar, it has its own taste). Because the film is a modern film and the lyrics of the song are so traditional and simple, and this would have been a fun twist. I still feel that in some time, people will actually start enjoying it even more."

Brahmastra also stars Nagarjuna. The film released on September 9. Produced by Star Studios and Dharma Productions, the magnum opus is currently in theatres in 2D, 3D and Imax 3D in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
