Gori Hai: Sophie Choudry celebrates femininity in the recreation of Bappi Lahiri's popular 90s song

Gori Hai is a foot-tapping new-age melody that offers the perfect dash of nineties nostalgia to win over your heart. A groovy recreation of one of the most popular songs of that era, what makes this track an audio-visual treat is Sophie’s sensuous avatar combined with her alluring voice. Draped in exotic red, the diva exudes intense and smouldering vibes as she shows off her signature dance moves.

While Sophie’s love for the nineties is well known on social media, the sizzling beats of Gori Hai will surely leave the internet bedazzled. The song’s launch was a heavy-duty affair with B-town’s Varun Dhawan launching the track with Sophie on Instagram Live.  

Talking about the single, Sophie said, “I’ve always harboured a special fondness for tunes of the nineties, and with Gori Hai, I got to bring back the magic of those days with a funky modern essence. Crafting this song was quite a thrilling experience and I look forward to fans enjoying the single”.

Powered by Sophie’s spellbinding voice, the track sees recreation as well as an additional composition by Vikram Montrose, and additional lyrics by Shekhar Astitwa. The official music video is directed by Ajay Arora and Lovel Arora, with choreography by Yassh Kadam. 

The original song was composed by the legendary Bappi Lahiri, with lyrics from Anjaan. The recreation manages to keep the nineties essence intact while bringing in a fresh Gen-Z vibe and the glamorous charm of Sophie Choudry.
