In no time, Ranveer Singh's 'bum' became a 'national issue'. His bare-it-all photoshoot for an international magazine sparked off a debate on social media. In fact, an FIR against him was registered by a lawyer. Now, Vidya Balan also came out in support of Ranveer.
At an event in Mumbai last night, Vidya interacted with the paparazzi. When asked about Ranveer's naked photoshoot, the actress quipped, "Arre kya problem hai? Pahli baar koi aadmi aisa kar raha hai, hum logo ko bhi aankhein sekhne dijiye na (laughs)."
Vidya further reacted to the FIR registered against Ranveer. "Maybe they (people who filed the FIR) don’t have much work to do, hence they are wasting their time on these things. If you don’t like it, then close the paper or throw it, do what you wish to. Why get into an FIR?" she said.
The FIR was registered under Sections 292, 293, and 509 of the Information Technology Act 2022 of the Indian Penal Code against Ranveer.
