Karan Johar was present at the trailer launch event of Vijay Deverkonda and Ananya Panday’s Liger with Ranveer Singh as the chief guest. KJo, who has produced the film with Charmme Kaur interacted with the media and answered questions as well.
During the media interaction at the Liger trailer launch event Karan was asked about his Koffee With Karan episode 2 which had Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan on the couch and how people thought that he showed his bias towards the former and completely sidelined the latter. To this Karan gave an epic reply that there is no scope for a bias as he has known them since they were little girls and he was just trying to console Janhvi who lost both the rounds in KWK7.
Karan said, “I have to say it’s completely untrue. I was just feeling sad that Janhvi lost both the rounds, she lost the rapid fire round and the game round and perhaps I was just trying to be just nice and in that process everbody read it wrong. I love them both dearly, they are wonderful girls and artistes and I’ve known them ever since they were three-years-old so there is no question of a bias, not with them, not ever.”
The Liger trailer launch was also attended by director Puri Jagannadh and co-producer Charmme Kaur. It also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Bose Roy and Mike Tyson. The film is slated to release on August 25.
