Alia Bhatt tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 and on Monday, she announced that the couple is expecting their first child. Soon after, congratulatory messages from all over were filled on the actress's post.
Now, an old interview of Alia wherein she is talking about getting married only when she is ready to have babies has gone viral. "Maybe, people expect me to get married at 30, but I might surprise myself as well and get married before that. Nothing is cast in stone, right? So, if I feel that I’m in a position where I want to take such a step, then I will. I’ve always believed that I would get married because of kids. So, if I am like, ‘This is the time I want to have my children and am also ready to have babies,’ I will get married,” Alia had told a leading daily in an interview in 2018.
On Tuesday afternoon, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram and thanked her followers for sending her good wishes after the pregnancy announcement. “Overwhelmed with all the love! Have tried to read everyone’s messages and good wishes and all I want to say is, it truly feels so special to celebrate such a big moment in our lives with all your love and blessings! Thank you to every single one of you,” she wrote.
Alia and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14, after dating each other for almost 5 years.
