Ranbir Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to promote his ambitious period drama Shamshera. The film is based in 1870 and also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in the lead and is directed by Karan Malhotra. Recently, when the makers released the poster of Shamshera, Ranbir’s wife Alia Bhatt was one of the first ones to give a shoutout to him and shared the poster on her social media. Taking to her Instagram account, Alia wrote, “Now that’s a hot morning... I mean .. good morning (sic)." Now, Ranbir had reacted to Alia’s comment on his first look from the film and told an online portal that his wife is his biggest cheerleader.
In a recent interview with an online portal, Ranbir reacted to his wife’s praise for him and said, “Alia has always been my biggest cheerleader. She is always so supportive. I had no idea since the last two weeks that she has been in touch with my director Karan Malhotra. She doesn't tell me much, but she is sending Karan reviews of people. She is also going online and checking the audience's reaction to the teaser and poster."

He also spoke about himself saying he is immensely proud of her and said, “Also, I would like to believe that I do the same for her film. I am not on social media, so that can't be seen. But we are constantly cheering each other in our professional life and our personal life and I think that's what really makes a partnership.” Alia and Ranbir are expecting their first baby. The announcement was made by Alia yesterday on social media.
Shamshera is Ranbir’s first release since the 2018 film Sanju. The film will also see him essay the double role of a father and son for the first time. The movie is produced by Aditya Chopra under his production banner Yash Raj Films and is scheduled to release on July 22, 2022.
