On Saturday, Ranbir Kapoor's first look from his upcoming film Shamshera got leaked on social media. Until now, the makers of the dacoit drama had kept the actor's look guarded. Just around a month before the film's release, the leak created a storm on the internet.
In the leaked picture, Ranbir can be seen flaunting a unique look. He will be sporting a rugged look in Shamshera as he plays a dacoit. Ranbir will also have long hair and beard to match the character sketch.
After the first look poster went viral, a spokesperson from YRF told a media agency, "Yes, we have been monitoring this situation. There has been a leak and it's quite unfortunate. Ranbir is coming back to the big screen after 4 years and we wanted to guard Ranbir's look till people see the trailer because we were aware that it would be the biggest talking point. We will now need to rejig our entire plan in the run up to the trailer launch. We should have more updates to share in the next two days."
As per reports, Shamshera's trailer will be released next week. The film, co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, will release in theatres on July 22. Shamshera is directed by Karan Malhotra.
