Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar's Samrat Prithviraj is tax-free in Uttar Pradesh, confirms CM Yogi Adityanath

Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar and director Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi organised special screenings of Samrat Prithviraj for Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The team of the historical drama were present at both the screenings. 

After watching the film today, Mr Adityanath has declared Samrat Prithviraj tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. As per reports, he was impressed with the film and congratulated the entire team for highlighting the rich culture of India. "Akshay Kumar has beautifully shown the history of India in his film. This is why I congratulate the team," the CM of Uttar Pradesh reportedly told.

Ahead of Samrat Prithviraj's release, Akshay, Manushi and Dr Dwivedi headed out of Mumbai for a tour to honour the legacy of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. They started their journey by performing Ganga Aarti in Varanasi. From there, they went to Somnath Temple in Gujarat. Before watching the film with Mr Shah, the team paid tribute to the warrior king at Qila Rai Pithora.

Samrat Prithviraj also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood. The film produced by Yash Raj Films will release in theatres on June 3.
