Abhishek Bachchan lauds former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala on clearing his 10th and 12 Board Exams at 87 years; fans say ‘Dasvi effect’


Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to laud former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala for clearing his Class 10 and Class 12 exams on Tuesday at the ripe old age of 87 years. Chautala, reportedly scored 88 marks out of 100 in English paper in Class 10 board exams last year. Abhishek in his last release, Dasvi plays Haryana’s CM who appears for his Class 10 board exams from jail as he serves his sentence.

Taking to Twitter, Abhishek shared a news article about the former CM clearing his matriculate and intermediary examinations. Nimrat Kaur, who played Abhishek’s wife in Dasvi and takes on the CM’s post in the film in his absence wrote, “Absolutely marvellous!! Age is truly only a digit or two." Abhishek also shared the article and tweeted, “Badhai!!! #Dasvi.”

One fan replied to Abhishek's tweet, “Alright then, shall we get ready to see you and @yamigautam in #Baarvi?” Another one wrote, “Aap ki film ka asar hai (This is because of your film).”

Dasvi also stars Yami Gautam and released on Netflix India and Jio Cinema last month. It was directed by Tushar Jalota and was produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films, Jio Studios, and Bake My Cake Films.
