Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had an intimate mehendi ceremony yesterday on April 13. The festivities had only close family and friends in attendance and were a part of a heavily guarded and small affair. The wedding is going to take place today at Ranbir’s house in Vastu building in Bandra, Mumbai. Ranbir's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and cousins Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were among the family members who attended the event. After the ceremony, Karisma and Riddhima shared a picture and a video to flaunt their mehendi designs.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Karisma shared a close up picture of the mehendi on her foot. She captioned it, “I love Mehndi," along with a heart emoticon. Karisma had worn a yellow anarkali suit with a maangtika and traditional earrings.
On the other hand, Riddhima also flaunted her mehendi designs on her Instagram stories. The mehendi ceremony was also attended by her daughter Samaira, Ranbir’s cousins Armaan Jain and Aadar Jain along with their mother and the actor’s aunt Rima Jain. Armaan’s wife Anissa Malhotra Jain was also present and so was Shweta Bachchan Nanda who is married to Ranbir’s cousin Nikhil Nanda and their daughter Navya Naveli Nanda.
The mehendi ceremony was followed by a small sangeet where singer Prateek Kuhad doled out songs on the occasion. After the ceremony, Neetu and Riddhima confirmed to paparazzi that the wedding is going to take place today on April 14 at Ranbir’s residence.
